What's New for the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe?

With the 2018 model year, the Tahoe-Chevrolet's best-selling full-size SUV-is in its fourth production cycle. The most notable change for this model is the debut of the RST Performance Package, which introduces a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8, which surpasses the standard 5.3-liter V8. The trims, however, still remain the LS, LT and Premier.

As a full-size SUV, the 2018 Chevy Tahoe has three rows of seats, which seats up to seven people. Standard cargo space is measured at 15.3 cubic feet, although you can fold down the second- and third-row seats to expand it to 94.7 cubic feet. Standard comfort and convenience features on the Tahoe include cruise control, Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free phone operation and audio streaming, six-speaker audio with a single-disc CD player with MP3 playback capability, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ for smartphone-based control, MyLink® infotainment integration with an 8-inch color touchscreen, tri-zone automatic temperature control, remote keyless entry and vehicle start, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 4.2-inch multi-color driver information center. On the LS, you'll get leather upholstery (in place of cloth seats), a memory system for the driver's seat, a garage-door opener, auto-dimming rearview mirror and a nine-speaker Bose® audio system (in place of the six-speaker audio system). Exclusive to the Premier are heated second-row seats, power-folding third-row seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless charging for mobile devices, keyless open and start ability, a navigation system and a 10-speaker Bose® Centerpoint® surround-sound system.

2018 Chevy Tahoe FrontUnder the hood of the 2018 Chevy Tahoe is the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8, which produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. You can choose between a rear-wheel drivetrain and a four-wheel-drive system. Unique to the Premier is Magnetic Ride Control™ technology to further reduce body roll, enhance traction and sharpen steering.

2018 Chevy Tahoe SideIn the event of a collision, the 2018 Chevy Tahoe has dual front impact airbags, a driver-side front center airbag, dual front seat-mounted side impact airbags and a pair of roof-mounted side curtain airbags. Also included in the Tahoe is a complimentary three-month OnStar® Guidance Plan subscription, which includes services like automatic crash response, advanced diagnostics and roadside and stolen vehicle assistance. Other standard safety features on the large SUV include daytime running lamps, a rearview camera with a rear parking assist system, StabiliTrak® for electronic vehicle stability, Teen Driver mode for monitoring the driving habits of teenage drivers, four-wheel antilock disc brakes and an electrical theft-deterrent system. Added on the LT and Premier are forward collision alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, low-speed forward automatic braking and a safety alert for the driver's seat. The Premier is the only trim with a front and rear parking assist system and lane change alert with side blind zone alert.
