2016 Chevy Tahoe Review - Evansville New SUVs
If there was one word we'd use to sum up the Chevy Tahoe, it would be versatile. It's a jack-of-all-trades that's not limited to paved roads, and unlike crossover SUVs that use car-based platforms, it takes trailering seriously with a rugged fully boxed, perimeter frame. It's also like Superman when it comes to safety, staying vigilant at all times when it comes to your protection, and it's a tech nerd's dream SUV with amenities like 4G LTE Wi-Fi access, wireless phone charging and - new this year - Apple CarPlay for iPhone users!
Shoppers searching for the 2016 Chevy Tahoe in Evansville, Indiana, will find a large selection to choose from at Kenny Kent Chevrolet. Trim levels again include the LS, LT and LTZ, and all come standard with a mighty 5.3-liter V-8 that produces 355 hp and 383 pound-feet of torque. Eight-passenger seating is standard, or if you select the Tahoe LT you can choose second-row captain's chairs, which bring the SUV's seating down to seven, but that's still enough for most needs. Plus, 2016 Chevy Tahoe reviews say the seats create much-needed separation between rambunctious kids, so you won't have to deal with hearing this all the time: "Mom, he's touching me!" If you need more seating, however, there's also a front-row bench option on the LS trim, which provides room for up to nine passengers.
Along with Apple CarPlay, other new features for the 2016 Chevy Tahoe in Evansville include an optional head-up display (LTZ) and new Enhanced Driver Alert Package with IntelliBeam headlights, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert and other technologies. Tahoe also returns with amenities that last year's shoppers loved. The class-exclusive theft-protection package is still available, offering features like cabin motion detectors and window sensors that'll keep your SUV secure when you're not around. In addition, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone and Audio Streaming, OnStar, HD radio and rear parking sensors are still standard across the board, and we can't forget to mention the available Wi-Fi hotspot once more. It's been tested by several publications and all found that it fulfills its promise to provide a fast and reliable connection for up to seven devices.
