Specs at a Glance

The Chevrolet Tahoe is one of the most commanding SUVs on the road with its truck-based platform. In 2021, the Tahoe turns heads even more than ever before with its full redesign. The Chevy gets changes inside and out across the lineup, ranging from the base level called the LS to the High Country that tops the line. The 2021 Tahoe has a new frame that creates more interior space and cargo volume. Cargo capacity now stands at nearly 123 cubic feet, an improvement over 94 cubic feet from the year before. The 2021 Tahoe has a smoother ride quality starting at the base level, which now adds an independent rear suspension system. The LS has room for eight, while seating for seven is available with the High Country. The High Country also adds some exterior accents and interior upgrades that set it apart from the others.

Performance

Three engines are offered for the Chevrolet Tahoe in 2021. The base trim and High Country both have their engines, while you can get a diesel engine for either trim level. To start with, the Chevrolet Tahoe has a 5.3L V8 engine that generates 355 HP in top power and 383 LB-FT of torque. The base engine gets a 10-speed transmission as well. Four-wheel drive is optional for the LS. The High Country has its exclusive engine, which is a potent V8 with a displacement of 6.2 liters. The High Country's power output jumps to 420 HP and a respectable 460 LB-FT of torque. A diesel engine is available for the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe with a peak power output of 277 HP and 460 LB-FT in torque. Both trims can tow 8,400 pounds.

Appearance

A refreshed front end and a longer, wider frame give the Chevrolet Tahoe a more impressive presence in 2021. It comes with some trim-specific attributes as well, including standard LED headlights and 18-inch wheels on the base trim level. A unique black and bronze paint scheme gives the High Country an elegant appearance, and it has larger 22-inch wheels.

Features

The LS trim level has Chevy's new 10.2-inch infotainment display in 2021. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and you'll get forward collision mitigation for safety. The High Country has seating for seven, heated and ventilated seats, and wireless charging. Leather seats and a sunroof are standard, while you can order a sunroof for the LS trim.
