The turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engine is standard on all trims, with various outputs determined by the trim level. The base model comes with a 237-horsepower engine. However, those who require more power can opt for higher trims. The Z71 and Trail Boss models have the upgraded 310-horsepower version of the same turbo 2.7-liter engine, which delivers 390 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the ZR2 has 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

Colorado comes standard with the Chevy Safety Assist package, which includes many driver-assistance features.
