The Corvette ZR1X and ZR1 are now the Fastest Cars from an American Manufacturer at Nürburgring Nordschleife Circuit

The Chevrolet Corvette's reputation as a top-tier sports car remains strong. Track results confirm the Corvette ZR1X and ZR1 are currently the fastest cars from an American maker, highlighting Chevrolet's ability to engineer world-class performance machines.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

With a non-professional driver behind the wheel, the Corvette ZR1 managed a 6:50.763 lap at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Under the hood sits a 5.5L, twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 that produces a remarkable 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque.

The Corvette ZR1 pairs thrilling acceleration with a top speed of 233 mph and precise handling. The optional ZTK Performance Package helps optimize lap times and includes several truck-focused upgrades, such as Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires and a specialized aero kit. On the street, the ZR1 remains a viable option, offering standard comforts such as a Bose premium sound system, a Rear Camera Mirror, and a high-resolution infotainment screen with Google Built-in.

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X

Taking performance a step higher, the Corvette ZR1X adds an electric front-drive unit to the same engine, boosting output to 1,250 horsepower. The ZR1X lapped the Nürburgring in 6:49.275. Its modern eAWD system monitors tire conditions to ensure peak traction.
