The Chevy remote start function is a feature that comes in many of the Chevrolet models available on our lot in Evansville, and is a great way to prepare your vehicle for your arrival before you even slide behind the wheel. On icy winter days and those hot summer days, your vehicle will be able to run long enough to bring your interior to a temperature that you have preset before leaving your automobile. If you're curious about how you control and use this function, we'd be happy to walk you through the process.

How To Use the Remote Start Feature on Your Chevrolet

Before trying to start your Chevrolet remotely, you'll need to be a minimum of 197 feet away from the vehicle with your fob in hand. Point the fob in the direction of your automobile, and press the lock button once. You should then hold down the start button for at least four seconds. At this point, you should hear your engine start. Remember, your temperature settings inside the vehicle will be the same when you left your car. You will not be able to change those settings until you get into the car.

Rather than getting into a vehicle with a cold engine that isn't set to a comfortable interior temperature, Chevrolet has provided you with an opportunity to prepare your car ahead of time. If your Chevrolet is your family vehicle, then you know how convenient this feature is. It's nice to have the interior temperature already set for your kids or pets.
