At the heart of the record-breaking Corvette ZR1 lies a twin-turbocharged, 5.5-liter DOHC V8 engine. Chevy claims this engine produces an incredible 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a flat-plane crankshaft, it hits a breathtaking redline of 8,000 rpm. The engine's power is delivered to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Corvette ZR1 boasts a 0-60 mph time of only 2.3 seconds and runs a quarter-mile in 9.6 seconds.
