Corvette Racing to Go Global in 2022

There is plenty to look forward to in 2022 regarding the automotive market. In addition to plenty of new models hitting the scene, Chevrolet will be going global in 2022 with their Chevy Corvette C8.R race car. This vehicle is going to be featured in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, which takes place in the U.S. From there, it's going to arrive overseas for the FIA World Endurance Championship. This race is throughout Asia, Europe as well as the Middle East. Finishing up race season is the Corvette at Le Mans in July. Notable race tracks include the Fuji Speedway in Japan, The Monza in Italy, and the Spa-Francorchamps located in Belgium.

The drivers behind the wheel of the Corvette at these races will include some of the most reputable factory drivers that Chevy has seen thus far. This includes Antonio Garcia, Alexander Sims, Nick Tandy, Jordan Taylor, Tommy Milner, and Nicky Catsburg.

Chevrolet has also recently discussed their upcoming plans to release a new race car for the 2024 model year. The Z06 GT3.R is set on an aluminum chassis design that is very lightweight. The engine will be a 5.5-liter V8 variety that will provide plenty of power and performance.
