Kenny Kent Chevrolet Shows Off the New Chevrolet Sonic

Small cars don't get much better than the Chevy Sonic. For the past several years it's been the top choice for an affordable subcompact with a little pep. With models like the performance-tuned RS, it's speedy, fun to drive, and a heck of a lot better looking than comparable models. In 2014, the Sonic returns with new features like a standard rearview camera on LTZ an RS trim levels, an optional Chevy MyLink infotainment system, new safety features and three fresh exterior colors.

The 2014 Chevy Sonic is available in Evansville as a sedan or hatchback in four trim levels: LT, LS, LTZ and RS. Drivers can choose from two powertrain configurations, and a five-speed manual transmission is standard on all models. The RS comes standard with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine and a manual transmission.

Entry level features on the Sonic LS, include: climate control, keyless entry, 15-inch wheels, auto headlights, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, OnStar, Bluetooth, a four-speaker stereo system with an auxiliary jack, steering wheel controls, a blind-spot mirror and more.

Chevy Sonic shoppers in Evansville can step up to the LT model, which adds the following to the LS trim level's features: power mirrors and doors, cruise control, an upgraded sound system, Bluetooth streaming audio, satellite radio, upgraded cloth seats and a rear cargo shelf in the hatchback model.

The top-of-the-line Chevy Sonic LTZ is loaded with everything you've just read, but adds or replaces: heated front seats, leatherette seats, 17-inch wheels, Chevy's MyLink infotainment system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, fog lamps and exterior chrome accents. The sporty Sonic RS is equipped just like the LTZ but adds a turbocharged engine, a sport-tuned suspension, leather seats and exterior accents.

Most Chevy Sonic reviews agree that it's a youthful car that's a great fit for young and old alike. Its affordability, fuel efficiency, small size and nice list of features make it a solid choice in the small car segment.
